Paige Leskin is a senior at Northwestern University majoring in journalism and political science. Originally from just outside Manhattan, her time in Chicagoland has made her a bit midwestern as well.
From June to December 2016, Paige worked on the digital news team for PIX11, a local television station in New York City. She ran PIX11's social media from the scene of anti-Trump protests and breaking news. She produced an interative map to track post-election hate crimes and designed an online tour of NYC's historical LGBT landmarks to better to visualize stories.
Her reporting interests span from politics to sports, and crime to human interest stories. She credits her start in journalism to NU's student-run newspaper, The Daily Northwestern, where she began as a reporter and rose through the ranks to become a managing editor as a sophomore.
Paige's reporting has been featured on national markets, including USA Today, Global Post, the Bergen Record and more.
